A simple combination: good chocolate, organic lavender essential oil. That's the whole story.
Summer shipping notice — please read before ordering. We are in a stretch of record heat. Chocolate shipped in these conditions can soften, melt, or bloom in transit, and we cannot guarantee it will arrive in perfect condition. If you order now, you are accepting that risk — we would rather tell you plainly than have it turn up ruined. Prefer to wait? Leave a note at checkout or email kari@homesteadlavender.com and we will hold your bars until the weather cools and ship them then, at no extra cost. Buying at the farm store? No heat, no truck, no problem.
The dark is a smooth 55% cocoa with just enough lavender to soften the chocolate's bitter edge — floral, not perfume-y. The white is creamier and sweeter, made with cocoa butter and whole milk powder, finished with the same organic lavender oil. Both are made in small batches by a craft chocolate maker we trust.
A note on the lavender: this bar uses certified organic lavender essential oil from our chocolate maker's source, not oil from our farm. We curated it because we love the way it's made, and we wanted a lavender chocolate option in our shop that didn't compromise on the cocoa.
Each bar is 1.3 oz — about right for two people sharing with coffee, or one person on a slow Sunday afternoon.

Serving Suggestions
Eat it slowly, in pieces, with coffee or tea. Pair the dark with a glass of red wine or a coffee stout; the white with moscato or sweet tea. Or just standing at the kitchen counter at 3 PM, because that's also valid.
Shipping & Storage
Store below 70°F — chocolate is happiest in a cool, dark cupboard. Ships nationwide in eco-friendly packaging.
Warm-weather orders. From roughly May through September we ship chocolate with a cold pack whenever we can, but no cold pack survives several days in a hot truck. During extreme heat we may hold your order until conditions improve and let you know by email. If you need chocolate by a specific date in summer, write to us first so we can be honest with you about whether we can get it there intact.
