Candles - Coconut Soy + Beeswax Candle - Lavender Glow

A warm three-note blend — lavender at the heart, white oak and vanilla underneath, sandalwood holding the base. Hand-poured in small batches with coconut-soy and beeswax, single cotton wick, finished in a clear glass apothecary jar with a vintage copper-bronze screw-on lid.

The wax

Roughly two-thirds coconut-soy, just over a quarter beeswax (half white, half yellow), and a careful fragrance load. The beeswax is the secret — soy alone burns clean but quiet; the beeswax adds the warm glow you see across the wax pool when it's lit. You don't get that from a pure soy candle.

The fragrance — three parts, in order of strength

• Lavender (50%) — a deeper, floral fragrance oil we picked because it stays floral when warmed instead of going sharp or perfumey. Less English-garden, more evening field at dusk.
• White Oak & Vanilla (30%) — the warm round note that softens the lavender's edge. Reads as cozy more than as dessert.
• Sandalwood (20%) — the dry base note that grounds the whole blend. You don't notice it until you blow the candle out — and it's the scent that lingers.

Together they read as quiet evening, low light, deep breath. Not floral perfume, not bakery-sweet — somewhere in between.

An honest sourcing note

This candle uses fragrance oils, not essential oils. We choose this intentionally — essential oils break down at candle burn temperatures, and you'd lose the scent within a few hours. Fragrance oils at our 7% load give a scent throw that holds for the life of the candle. The farm-distilled lavender essential oil we grow and steam-distill lives in our pure EO bottles, body oils, and hydrosols — places where temperature won't degrade it.

How to burn it

• Trim the wick to ¼" before every lighting
• Burn no longer than 4 hours at a time
• First burn: let the melt pool reach the edge of the vessel before extinguishing (about 2 hours). This prevents memory-tunneling for the rest of the candle's life
• Keep on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts and out of reach of kids and pets
• When you're not burning, screw the lid back on — it'll hold the scent in the jar

Burn time

Approximately 30–35 hours with proper burn habits. We haven't formally burn-tested this batch yet, so consider that an estimate — we'll update with hard numbers once we do.
