Solid alder wood, made in Oregon from end pieces reclaimed from local sawmills. The battlement-cut grooves on top do the real work — they hold the bar up off any standing water so it dries between uses, which is how a bar soap goes from "lasts a week" to "lasts the month."
What it is
- Alder wood, 3" wide × 4.75" long
- Naturally finished (no stain, no varnish, no plastic)
- Each dish has its own grain pattern and tone — that's the reclaimed-wood story showing through
Built to outlast the soap on it
A wood dish lasts decades. A plastic one lasts until it cracks. We picked this one because it has the same don't-replace-it philosophy as our refillable sachets — buy it once, use it forever.
Curated, not made by us
We didn't make this one. It's curated from a maker we trust who works with reclaimed alder. Pairs beautifully with any of our bar soaps, but works with any bar soap from anywhere.
Soap not included.
