Bloom Alert — Late Spring / Early Summer 2026
When the rows wake up, so do we.
The fields are no longer quiet. What began as winter planning and muddy boots has turned into green rows stretching awake beneath Tennessee rain and long hours of sunshine. Some of our earliest lavender varieties have already started blooming, and harvest baskets are slowly finding their way back into our hands again. The rosemary has pushed forward beautifully this season too — strong, fragrant, and thriving in the tunnel like it knows exactly what it’s about.
Spring here never arrives all at once. It creeps in row by row. One morning you notice fresh silver-green growth. A week later, the fields hum differently. Then suddenly the workbench is covered in clippers, drying trays, recipe notes, and coffee cups that were hot three hours ago.
Honestly? Nature runs this schedule better than we ever could. We mostly just try to keep up.
What’s Been Growing Around the Homestead
Over the past few months, we’ve quietly been building behind the scenes — not just in the fields, but on the shelves too.
Several new products have made their way into the Homestead lineup, while others are still somewhere between “carefully tested” and “held together by handwritten notes and stubborn optimism.” A few favorites now finding their footing include:
- bath & body creations from the Restored by Nature collection
- lavender-forward soaps and oils
- and a growing collection of products rooted in the simple idea that nature often does its best work quietly
Some formulas have taken multiple rounds of testing. Some surprised us immediately. And a few have humbled us just enough to remind us that lavender farming and product development are both excellent teachers of patience.
Out in the Fields
This current stretch of rain and sunshine has brought the farm to life in the best way. The later lavender varieties are waking up fast, putting on fresh growth and preparing for the heavier bloom season ahead. Everywhere we look, the fields feel fuller, greener, and more hopeful than they did just a few short months ago.
There’s something sacred about this stage of the season — right before full harvest begins.
The still waits quietly. The baskets stack up again. The rows start whispering, “Get ready.”
And somehow, no matter how tired we are, that feeling never gets old.
Looking Forward
As summer settles in, we’re hoping to share more of the process with you — the harvest mornings, the distillation days, the small victories, the inevitable chaos, and the beautiful in-between moments that make this homestead what it is.
We’re still learning. Still building. Still experimenting. Still trying to grow something meaningful from these Tennessee hills.
And whether you’ve been here since the beginning or only recently wandered into our little corner of the world — thank you. Truly.
You help make these rows feel less lonely.
With thanks from the Homestead,
Kari & Jason
